Notes & Comments:
- In the original recipe, Nitza states to just mix the syrup side to side while over the heat. I followed her directions the first time, but it came out a little lumpy (the flavor was still amazing though). But the second time I tried, I gently whisked the syrup in the pot until completely smooth, which took a little bit more than 5 minutes. This time it came out much smoother.
- I'd recommend storing in a squeeze bottle after it has cooled down.
- Refrigerate the syrup when not in use.
